I am Debbie Duport, a person who loves to see people having fun.
I started tap & ballet when I was 3 yrs old with Hazel Rowe until I was eleven. I moved onto Ballroom/ Latin American and Disco with Cochrane's Dance School. I have competed in competitions many times and passed a lot of exams. On Saturdays I then taught with Carol Sheppard at CATS DANCE SCHOOL.
After having my two lovely daughters Nicola and Rebecca and enjoying doing their birthday parties I was asked to do many of my friends children's parties. I decided to start offering parties to other people and I have been doing them ever since and I still thoroughly love them.
When Carol Sheppard retired around 1992 I started my own classes for toddlers & pre-school children called FUNDANCE and DISCOFUN for the older children and adults & Couples 1st dance for their wedding day. In 2010 a pupil told me about a new Dance Craze everyone was talking about. It was called ZUMBA® fitness and I have never looked back I You tubed it, loved it and thought "This is so me!" So went away to qualify and now I can say I was very first person to bring ZUMBA® fitness over to Guernsey . I am also delighted that my daughters qualified and my husband also helps out. It is my little family business.
In 2014 i qualified in Clubbercise which is dancing in the dark to 80/90s music with glow sticks so you can actually "Dance Like Nobody is Watching"
Its AMAZING!! Since I have being teaching Zumba®fitness & Clubbercise I have seen so many of my pupils change, losing weight, gaining confidence and having so much fun. I feel very privileged to teach them. I LOVE IT. X
It is now 2023 and I am 60 so i have decided to Semi retired to spend time with family . I am only teaching 3 adult classes and one Childs class. Please look at timetable to keep updated.
